This unique and ambitious self-build project started with our client’s searching for a suitable plot that would be perfect for their dream home.

Settling on Sudbrooke, a village to the north of the city of Lincoln, the site was originally occupied by a bungalow, detached annex and a series of large wooden outbuildings in a pretty poor condition. 

Planning had been refused a couple of times previously but with a clear vision over what they wanted to achieve, Fytche-Taylor Planning were commissioned to turn their dream into a reality by preparing a robust planning application that addressed the requirements of the recently adopted neighbourhood plan and all local plan policies.

Submitted in early February 2022, we liaised regularly with the planning officer throughout and agreed some minor amendments along the way, but were pleased to receive a positive decision from the LPA just 7 weeks later.  With no pre-commencement conditions, our clients are able to commence building works on their lovely new property within weeks.
