Matt has worked in the construction industry for over 18 years across a range of technical, professional and senior management roles working for some of the county’s largest main-contractors.

Matt possesses a wealth of practical and technical knowledge about civil engineering and building across education, retail, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

Starting as a setting-out engineer, Matt was responsible for the transition of design information onto site ensuring work commenced and was completed accurately. He soon progressed to site management overseeing all tradespeople on site and maintaining all aspects of H&S, quality, and programme. Promoted to contracts management in 2015, responsible for coordination of consultants, sub-contractors and in-house professional / practical teams to successfully deliver multi-million-pound design & build projects nationwide. Most recently Matt worked as group framework and bids manager, responsible for £60m+ of public sector procurement and tender quality submissions for Lindum Group. This client facing role, resulted in him forging strong working relationships with many County, City, District and Borough Councils across Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire

Matt's qualifications include, OND & HND in Building Studies from Sheffield Hallam University, CDM training, Asbestos training, CSCS, Auto-CAD.

In 2022 Matthew put his skills to good use and constructed his own self-build family home and co-founded Build Manager Ltd to help more people self-build their own home. Away from building, Matt enjoys riding his classic trials bikes (and running after his 5yr old twin boys on their electric trials bikes) and is a keen ‘summer’ golfer!
